ISSCR opportunities and upcoming events to share

We have several opportunities open for nomination/application right now and as well as exciting new events on the horizon.

· 2025 ISSCR Awards Nominations Open:

The ISSCR Awards recognize exceptional scientific achievement, research potential, and community spirit in the stem cell field globally.
Nominate yourself or a colleague for the Outstanding Young Investigator Award, Achievement Award, or Momentum Award through 25 September 2024.

· 2025 Board Nominations Open:

The annual call for nominations is open now through 30 September.
Nominate yourself or a colleague for ISSCR Vice President, Clerk, Treasurer or Director.

· Lawrence Goldstein Science Policy Fellowship Program

The ISSCR is seeking candidates for the Lawrence Goldstein Science Policy Fellowship, a three-year program offering advocacy and public policy training,
participation in ISSCR advocacy events, and engagement with leaders in the field. Applications are open through 25 October.

· Stem Cell Reports is accepting submissions through 6 January for a special issue on neural stem cells.

Selected contributing authors will have the opportunity to present their work at the ISSCR Athens International Symposium, 3-4 April 2025.

· New Open-access Webinars:

· Understanding Regulation of Cell States and Fates: Featuring ISSCR 2024 Poster Award Winners will take place on 10 September 2024.
· Stem Cells and Parkinson’s Disease: Research Advances + Patient Experiences is scheduled for 21 October 2024.

· Upcoming International Symposia:

〇Copenhagen International Symposium:PSC-Derived Cell Therapies:Clinical Advances, NextGen Technologies, and the Path to Success is approaching, 2-4 October 2024.
〇Singapore International Symposium:Stem Cellsin Tissue Maintenance, Repair, and Aging.Abstract submissions and early registration are open through 18 September 2024 for this 11-13 December event.
〇Athens International Symposium:Neural Stem Cells: Capturing Complexity and Plasticity from the Cell to the Organism will take place 3-4 April 2025. Mark your calendars and join us next year in Athens.
